Privacy Policy

This Policy explains how autoglassportal collects, uses, and shares information when you visit findmyautoglass.com or use the Service.

Last updated August 13, 2026

1. Who we are

autoglassportal ("we", "us", or "our") operates findmyautoglass.com and related apps, APIs, and tools (the "Service"). The Service helps glass professionals look up windshield identifiers such as eurocodes, ARGIC codes, and OEM part numbers.

For privacy questions, contact support@autoglassportal.com or use our contact page.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide, information generated when you use the Service, and limited information from processors that help us run it.

Account and company details

When you sign up or manage a profile we may collect your name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), company name, phone number if you provide one, and role within your company account.

Lookups and API use

To run a lookup we process the VIN or other vehicle identifiers you submit, optional glass type or brand, lookup history, selected eurocodes or part numbers, and related technical logs needed to complete or support the request. API keys you create are stored so we can authenticate your integrations.

Billing

If you subscribe, we collect plan, usage, and subscription status. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store Stripe customer and subscription identifiers; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Support and marketing messages

Contact-form submissions, support emails, and live-chat messages may include your name, email, company, and the content of your message. We may also send transactional email (such as verification codes, password resets, lookup notifications, and billing receipts) and, where permitted, product updates.

Device and usage data

We collect limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and approximate location derived from IP, through our hosting, authentication, and analytics tools. This helps us operate, secure, and improve the Service.

3. How we use information

We use personal data to:

  • Create and manage accounts, authentication, and access
  • Run VIN/eurocode lookups, store history, and deliver API results
  • Process billing, credits, and plan limits
  • Send service emails and respond to support or sales inquiries
  • Detect abuse, secure the Service, and prevent fraud
  • Improve accuracy, reliability, and product features (including reviewing failed or ambiguous lookups)
  • Comply with legal obligations

Vehicle identifiers you submit are used to provide the lookup. We may use aggregated or de-identified lookup patterns to improve mapping quality. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on these bases:

  • Contract: to provide the Service you requested (accounts, lookups, API, billing).
  • Legitimate interests: to secure, debug, and improve the Service, prevent abuse, and communicate about features, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent: where we ask for it (for example certain optional cookies or marketing), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Legal obligation: where we must keep records for tax, accounting, or similar duties.

5. Sharing and processors

We share data with service providers who process it on our instructions, and only as needed to operate the Service:

  • Convex — database, authentication, and backend hosting
  • Stripe — payments and subscription billing
  • MailerSend — transactional and support email
  • Umami — privacy-focused website analytics
  • Tawk.to — optional live chat on public pages
  • AI providers (such as OpenAI or Google) — to help select or interpret eurocode candidates from the vehicle data you submit

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale. Teammates you invite to a company account can see lookups and related activity for that account.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies and similar storage for sign-in sessions and security. Analytics (Umami) and live chat (Tawk.to) may set their own cookies or collect usage data when those scripts load on public pages. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent login from working.

7. Retention

We keep account data while your account is active. Lookup history is retained so you can reuse results and so we can support, bill, and improve the Service. After account closure we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, unless we must keep it longer for legal, tax, dispute, or security reasons.

8. International transfers

Our processors may store or process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the provider's comparable transfer mechanism.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

To exercise these rights, email support@autoglassportal.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. You can update some account details yourself after signing in.

10. Children

The Service is intended for business users. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may also be announced by email or an in-product notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.

12. Related terms

Use of the Service is also governed by our Terms of Service.
